HARU is Japanese jazz guitarist Haru Takauchi. While he was living in NY, we met, and he asked me to produce the music he composed for an NHK special that took the viewer on a video excursion of our galaxy. Eponymously call "Galactic Odyssey," it wound up being a textural tone poem to accompany the pre-Hubble telescopic images of space. Very "New Age"—hence the title of this song. A great band played, including the legendary saxophonist, Wayne Shorter.
