Soon after 9/11, I was commissioned to write incidental music for a production of Anna Deavere Smith's "Twilight - Los Angeles, 1992". This is the music I wrote to accompany the video that was projected at the beginning of the play. Reginald Denny getting beaten, LA in flames, anger rampant. The drum fills are the sounds of gunshots.
